Starting a New Business

The City of Tualatin welcomes all new businesses both large and small. If your new business includes acquiring an existing building and making renovations or the construction of a new facility, it is important that you contact the Planning Division for a "pre-application" meeting. Call the Planning Division at 503.691.3026 or visit them at 18884 SW Martinazzi Ave (second floor) to obtain further information.

For those businesses engaged in new construction, additional information and copies of various permits required can be obtained online from the Engineering or Building Divisions. Information on the City's development requirements can be obtained onlilne in Tualatin's Development Code. The Tualatin Development Code is also available for purchase for $50.00 from the Legal Department located at 18884 SW Martinazzi Ave.

Whether you're a one-person business or employer with 50+ employees, a City of Tualatin Business License is also required. For any additional information regarding business licenses, please contact Karen Miller in Tualatin's Finance Department.
