FATAL FIRE IN TUALATIN

On the morning of February 3, 2014 at around 2:30AM, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue personnel were called to the area of SW 67th Avenue and SW 68th Avenue in Tualatin on a report of a motor home that was on fire. Upon arrival in the area, the fire personnel located a motor home parked on SW 67th Avenue that was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire personnel quickly worked to extinguish the fire. During their efforts, they located a person inside the motor home. That person was deceased.

Once the fire was put out, the scene was handed over to the Tualatin Police to begin their investigation. Tualatin Police, with the assistance of the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue Investigators and the Washington County Medical Examiner's Office were able to determine the subject who died in the fire to be an adult male.

The investigators will continue to work this morning to confirm the identity of the male. The cause of the fire and the cause of death are still under investigation at this time.
