New Reservoir Under Construction

The 2014/15 budget contained a capital project to construct a new 1.0 million gallon reservoir on the site of our current C-1 reservoir located on Norwood Road.  The addition of this reservoir will add 1.0 million gallons of storage to the C Level Pressure Zone which serves the southern portion of the City.  Like the C-1 reservoir this new addition will be filled by the Norwood pump station.  

Attached are progress pictures of the construction site and include the rebar for the reservoir ring, drain pond and vault, drain flapper valve, inlet and outlet and the drain piping.  This project construction is anticipated to be completed and in service by late summer.  Once we have this new reservoir up and running we will be completing maintenance on the existing C-1 reservoir.
