The City of Tualatin purchases water from the Portland Water Bureau through a wholesale customer contract.

Portland Water Bureau receives and distributes water to Tualatin from two sources:

  1. Bull Run Watershed
  2. Columbia South Shore Well Field

For information on Portland Water Bureau operations including summer supply, climate change impacts and planning information please visit the Portland Water Bureau website.

The City of Tualatin also has a state licensed Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Well, which allows the City to inject water during low demand periods and recover the water during high demand periods in the summer.
