2024 Library Survey Results

Tualatin Library received high marks in its recent annual survey, completed by 439 people. Among the results: 

• Tualatin Library's customer service was rated as 4.6 out of 5 stars.  
• 91% agreed that Tualatin Library is a welcoming place. 
• 91% agreed they would recommend Tualatin Library to a friend or neighbor. 
• 82% agreed they usually find what they are looking for when visiting Tualatin Library.

The most frequently used library services selected were checking out library materials, downloading ebooks or streaming movies, and attending programs. 

The survey asked several questions related to preferred days and times for programs and program topics by age group. Results from the survey will be used to improve Tualatin Library's programs and services over the coming year.

Survey participants who receive the Library's email newsletter were asked for their feedback. Two-thirds reported that they like seeing all of the upcoming events and want to see more booklists and reviews in the newsletter. 

Nearly half the respondents shared comments and feedback, including suggestions to improve the library's collection, programs, and facility. Here are a few of the comments received: 

• "The Tualatin library is a safe haven, with dedicated knowledgeable staff. I always leave with a feeling of accomplishment."
• "I love our local library!!  I brag to everyone how blessed we are to have a great city library!!!"
• "My previous wish was granted -- having the library open at 10:00 on Sundays instead of later in the day.  Thank you!"
• "I love the Makerspace!"
• "Continue all your wonderful and diverse programs."
