Tualatin Cancels Summer Events and Programs

(Tualatin, OR) – The City of Tualatin hosts many events and programs throughout the year that have become highly anticipated annual traditions, connecting our community and celebrating our vitality, culture, and history. As always, the health and safety of our visitors, guests, staff, and event volunteers is the top priority. In light of this, and consistent with Governor Brown’s Executive Order and guidance from the Oregon Health Authority, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the following events and programs this summer:

  • ¡Viva Tualatin! – July 25
  • Tualatin Crawfish Festival – August 7 and 8
  • Summer Reading on the Commons – Tuesdays through June and July
  • Concerts on the Commons – Fridays through July and August
  • Movies on the Commons – Saturdays through July and August
  • Teen Adventure Camp – June 22 – August 20
  • Seekers Camp – June 29 – August 21

In addition, modifications have been made to other programs such as TEAM Tualatin, summer camps, and Summer Reading so that they can proceed safely. For updated information on specific programs and events, please visit the City’s website: www.tualatinoregon.gov.

While in-person events and programs will be extremely limited in the coming months, City staff have collected and developed repositories of online resources and other stay-at-home activities. Library staff continue to provide story times, book chats, makerspace activities, and trivia – now accessible entirely at your home! Our Parks and Recreation Department staff have curated lists of activities for kids, stay-at-home recreation resources for the whole family, virtual fitness videos for older adults, and other enrichment opportunities that are all accessible from their webpages.
