The Lou Ogden Bridge (SW Myslony Street over Hedges Creek) opened to traffic last week, providing an important connection between Tualatin Sherwood Road and Herman Road in the heart of the industrial center of Tualatin.

Named after longtime Tualatin Mayor, Lou Ogden, the three-lane bridge spans 68 feet and includes bicycle lanes and sidewalks on both sides. The $2.9 million project started construction in May of 2018 and was paid for with a mix of revenue from Traffic Impact Fees and Transportation Development Taxes.

“This is an exciting project that will really encourage economic growth by making it easier for businesses to deliver goods to market and hopefully reduce congestion for residents in Tualatin”, said Public Works Director, Jeff Fuchs.

A grand opening and dedication ceremony is being held on December 20th 2018 at 9 am on the new bridge. This event is free and open to the public.
