Five Arrested In Connection With Four Stolen Vehicles

On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at approximately 2:09am, Tualatin Police responded to a report of suspicious activity involving a group of people looking in the windows of cars in the parking lot of Motel 6, located at 17959 SW McEwan Road, in Tualatin.

 

Officers arrived and discovered the group of adult suspects walking amongst the vehicles in the parking lot.  Contact was made and the suspects were identified. Through their investigation, officers learned that there were a total of two stolen vehicles and two stolen motorcycles in the parking lot that were associated with the group of suspects.

 

Eric Edward Mottau, 41 years of age, of Portland, was arrested and charged with unlawful use of a vehicle and unlawful entry into a vehicle.  Jason John Trickel, 37 years of age, of Pendleton, was arrested on warrants for parole violation for unlawful use of a vehicle and failing to appear on an identity theft charge.  Landon Heath Higgins, 21 years of age, of Clackamas, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.  Katherine Lee Colwell, 25 years of age, of Forest Grove, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.  Alexander Phillip Sparks, 25 years of age, of Forest Grove, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear on a possession of a controlled substance charge.  Mr. Sparks was also charged with interfering with a police officer, providing false information, and unlawful use of a vehicle.

 

All of the suspects were lodged in the Washington County Jail.  Booking photos can be obtained through the jail.
