Man Arrested for Stealing Vehicles, Theft and Identity Theft

Update: 

On July 23, 2019 Tualatin Police Detectives arrested David Paul Jones for unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlawful entry to a motor vehicle and theft in the first degree.  Police had been attempting to identify Jones after a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from Tualatin on July 15, 2019.  An officer from the Portland Police Bureau identified Jones after seeing a press release regarding the incident and Tualatin Police Detectives along with other law enforcement contacted Jones and made the arrest. 

Jones was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was lodged on the charges from Tualatin as well as multiple counts of theft, multiple counts of unlawful entry to a motor vehicle and identity theft by Beaverton Police Department.  A booking photo can be obtained through the Washington County Jail.

Detectives believe Jones may be involved in other vehicle break-ins, vehicle thefts, credit card fraud and identity theft in the Portland Metro area.

Tualatin Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the male shown in the attached picture.  On July 15, 2019, the male suspect stole a white 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee (OR – 730JUB) from the Bay Club parking lot, located at 18120 SW Lower Boones Ferry Road.
