Police Conduct Registered Sex Offender Compliance Checks

Tualatin Police Department

On April 11, 2018, Tualatin Police Department teamed up with the Washington County Criminal Apprehension Team (CAT) to participate in a one-day mission.  The focus of the mission was compliance checks of registered sex offenders in the City of Tualatin.

There are 50 registered sex offenders in the City of Tualatin.  Washington County deputies and Tualatin detectives successfully completed 38 compliance checks.  There were 18 unverified sex offenders and 19 who were found in compliance with their registration.  The remaining offender moved from their last reported address over a month ago and is now out of compliance.

CAT routinely conducts sex offender compliance checks throughout areas of Washington County.  Tualatin Police plan future missions with members of CAT to continue sex offender compliance checks throughout Tualatin on a scheduled, routine basis.  For additional information on sex offender sentencing, monitoring, apprehending, registering and tracking, go to The U.S. Department of Justice National Sex Offender Public Website at www.nsopw.gov/.
